Who We Are

Boulder Valley Baptist Church

We are a new Baptist Church in Boulder, CO. We are new from the standpoint that we are just beginning to minister in the Boulder Valley. Our first Bible study was June 6, 2021, and our intention is to organically grow into a congregation of Bible believing Christians. We have a BOULDER vision from the standpoint that we want to reach people in the Boulder community right where they are! Whether you are a Christian, an atheist, or a person who is simply in search of the truth, we want to help you grow in your faith. We also strive to be fully invested in our community by reaching out to those who are broken, downtrodden, homeless, or without hope and showing them that there is hope for their circumstances in Jesus Christ. We simply want to communicate that we are here to help people!

Our Mission

"The mission of Boulder Valley Baptist Church is to honor Jesus Christ in the Boulder Valley and around the world by helping people come to Christ , commit to Christ, and communicate Christ."

Honor Jesus Christ

Our mission is, first of all, to Honor Christ. Jesus is the greatest and most influential person to ever live. Our responsibility is to make His name known and lead others to experience His influence in a greater way. As the Son of God, Jesus Christ is the King of kings and Lord of lords; thus, He is worthy to be honored and glorified above all others because He is above all others.

In the Boulder Valley

When Jesus gave the great commission to his church in Acts 1:8, He commissioned them to "Be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem and in all Judea." Jerusalem was the city where Jesus's disciples were, and Judea was the region directly surrounding them. This means that while the Lord has commissioned us to reach the community of Boulder, we are also commanded to magnify Him in the cities surrounding us, including the cities of Louisville, Lafayette, Niwot, Gunbarrell, and Superior. In each of these cities that make up the Boulder Valley, there are people in need of the truth of Jesus Christ; so it is our mission to magnify Jesus Christ throughout the Boulder Valley.

Around the World

While establishing a gospel footprint in the Boulder Valley, by the grace of God, Boulder Valley Baptist Church will keep our eyes on the vast horizon of unreached people groups around the world. God is a missionary God Who loves all people of all races and languages. We accomplish this facet of our mission by financially supporting missionaries and church planters across the United States and all around the world through Faith Promise Missions.

Helping People

The truth is that no one comes to Jesus Christ on their own. According to Romans 3:11, "There is none that seeketh after God." Jesus commissioned His church to be the ones who would carry His message throughout the world. Coming to faith in Christ is quite a journey for most. At Boulder Valley, we are simply here to help people in that journey. We want to help you get from where you are to where God wants you to be. Whether you are a Christian, an atheist, or a skeptic in search of the truth, we are here to help you.

Come to Christ

Coming to Christ is the first step in the life of a Christian. It means that you abandon religion and the good works of self-righteousness or the baggage of your past in order to embrace the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross. You come to Him and Him alone as your only hope for salvation and eternal life. You come to Him for forgiveness, reconciliation, and restoration with God. We are here to help people come to Christ.

Commit to Christ

Committing to Christ is the second step in the life of a Christian. It includes baptism, church membership, and discipleship. It's when you get serious about your relationship with Jesus Christ and His church. Baptism is an outward picture of the inward work Jesus has done in your life. Church membership gives you belonging among the people of God. It equips you to serve Christ and your community through the ministry of the church. Discipleship is where you learn to daily live your life like Jesus Christ. We are here to help people commit to Christ.

Communicate Christ

Communicating Christ is the result of coming to Christ and committing to Christ. Communicating Christ means sharing the truth about Jesus with the people of our community. We want to reach people where we are--at work, at class, on the sports field, and in our neighborhoods. One cannot reach everyone, but everyone can reach one. Our desire is to train people to effectively communicate the truth about their faith to others who are in search of the truth. We help people communicate Christ.
